Case Summary:

In this NIW filing, North America Immigration Law Group (Chen Immigration Law Associates) presented the work of a researcher in software framework development whose proposed endeavor focuses on applying software engineering principles to build a framework for visual app development and automatic code generation. The goal is to democratize app development across industries, improve the speed of user-computer interaction, and cost-effectively increase automation in those industries.

Many organizations need software that matches fast-changing workflows, but traditional development cycles can be slow, costly, and dependent on scarce specialized talent. We demonstrated that low-code and no-code style frameworks, especially those supported by automatic code generation, serve as a practical way to reduce that friction by turning repetitive implementation work into standardized, reliable system behavior.

The national importance of this work was further supported by objective third-party backing. The client’s research had received National Science Foundation (NSF) funding, a concrete indicator that the research direction aligns with priorities recognized as nationally significant and worth investment.

To firmly establish the client’s sustained international acclaim, we highlighted a substantial publication history, including 5 conference papers and 17 peer-reviewed journal articles, and reported 888 citations to the client’s work. We explained that several publications ranked among the most highly cited in computer science for their respective publication years, reinforcing that the influence was exceptional even after accounting for differences across publication years.

One recommender summarized the benefit, noting that the work addresses problems that are often time and labor-intensive and vulnerable to compounding numerical error:

“His work is pivotal to the United States as he solves differential-integral equations and calculates higher-order derivatives, a task that is both time- and labor-intensive, often contributing to large rounding errors.”

This expert endorsement perfectly connects the client’s established ability to automate difficult computation with the proposed endeavor’s core promise: dependable automated code generation and scalable software creation that reduces manual burden and improves reliability.

We were honored to translate this specialized framework research into clear evidence of national importance, connecting it to broad, real-world benefits in automation and accessible application development.
